Garrett Carpenter is a Legal Assistant who came to the firm through our collegiate internship program. He graduated from Swansboro High School as Valedictorian in 2015 and went on to earn a B.S. in Sports Management from North Carolina State University where he was also a member of the Pre-Law Student Association. Garrett furthered his education by earning a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Paralegal Technology from Carteret Community College, serving as a member of both the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and Sigma Alpha Pi – The National Society of Leadership and Success. At Commencement, he was honored as the Paralegal Graduate of the Year and awarded a Carteret County Bar Association scholarship to cover the cost of the North Carolina Paralegal Certification Examination, for which he has since obtained. Garret is currently a first year law student at West Virginia University’s College of Law. In his free time, Garrett enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing fantasy football, and competing in tennis, soccer, or football.
